Dining
Queenstown is a very small town with excellent and popular restaurants with limited seats, please book ahead.
This is my favourite fine dinning place in Queenstown, Chef’s Menu offer 7 courses meal which half modern and half traditional Italian cuisine, my all time favourite. Queenstown is never too formal, so smart casual dress up will be fine. But i probably don’t wanna go on my shorts there. Please book ahead, it’s usually quite full. Enjoy.
If you don’t want a formal dinning, little Aosta offers exceptionally delicious pizza and pasta, and of course dessert.
After a satisfying meal, why not go opposite the isle to the Blue Door for a whisky or two.
My 2nd favourite, i like the vibe, the fireplace, the service. Food is decent, also a very nice wine list. I’m sure anyone would enjoy it.
Ayrburn, developed by Winton, itself already a place worth visiting, if you like landscaping and garden, this is a must go place. Billy’s together with several other restaurants situated at Ayrburn provides modern chinese cuisine, its slightly pricey but you can’t doubt how serious they are about chinese cuisine. If I have to pick a bone, it’s slightly leaning on modern more than traditional Chinese cuisine, but that’s subjective.
Situated at town center, but the restaurant itself feels like dining in a forest, very comfortable place to seat in, service is just right, nothing more nothing less. Although they offer Chef’s menu, I prefer the ala carte, i would suggest to try most if not all their snacks and starters. I don’t recall they have a good variety of mid range wine list, but why not getting yourself pamper with something of quality, the food certainly deserves one.
Slightly posh and formal dinning place, mixture of italian and french cuisine, a very well selection of good variety of wine list. Food is fine dining grade, its not michelin but i think it might deserve some accolades. Bar opens 4pm, can’t see why a pre dinner drink would harm.
Ranked 99 in worlds best restaurants of 2025. Say no more.. Please book ahead.
This is my canteen, you may find me there. Authentic thai home cooking, it beats everything else.
This is my 2nd canteen, a japanese restaurant run by a Japanese chef. Nothing more needed.
Shabu Shabu in a winter.……
S perfect place to see a golden and bright red Arrowtown in autumn, while eating outdoor.
I never recommend people to go Ferg Burger, cos I don’t enjoy queuing, but you almost never need to queue for Mrs Ferg’s gelato and it’s the best gelato in town.
They have two shops, the one at main road is usually busier, and a greater range of flavours, but the one at the back offers the same delicious gelato.
